What is sensory play?
Sensory play is play that focuses on activities that engage your child’s senses.

What does it do?
Sensory play helps your child to develop language skills and motor skills. It also helps with cognitive growth, promotes social interactions, and encourages experimentation.

Sensory play can also address two sensory systems that are often overlooked:
our proprioceptive system – the sense that helps us to coordinate our movements so we can walk, run, hop, skip, negotiate obstacles, or kick an object with precision.
our vestibular system – the sense that helps us with balance while we walk and run. It also helps us stay upright when we sit and stand.
